After 13 years in the automotive industry, I’ve had the privilege of being recognized with a nomination for the Inspirational Role Model Award. This honor reflects not just my journey but also the impact of my work, which has been deeply rooted in a passion for innovation, mentorship, and strategic leadership. For me is the proof or the rule to the belief that staying true to oneself, even in the face of challenges, is the key to lasting success.

Pioneering Work in Telematics Innovation

My journey began over a decade ago when the automotive industry was on the brink of a technological revolution. Telematics, a field that combines telecommunications and informatics, was emerging as a game-changer. I saw its potential early on and dedicated myself to pushing the boundaries of what was possible. I told in one of my past article about the challenges I faced for understanding the industry in the first place. My work in telematics has focused on leveraging technology to enhance vehicle safety, connectivity, and user experience. By embracing cutting-edge solutions, I aimed to redefine industry standards and inspire others to explore the vast opportunities that innovation offers.

The journey wasn’t always smooth. I can even say that it was not smooth at all. It was a combination of a bumpy road with high speed circuit and off-road challenge when the additional gear was needed. Like any pioneering effort, it was met with skepticism and resistance. However, I remained steadfast in my vision. I believed in the power of telematics to revolutionize the industry, and that conviction drove me to continue exploring, learning, and innovating. More than believing in the industry I think the best thing that counted was the passion for it, for my job and the whole environment. The results speak for themselves: measurable improvements in business performance, increased customer satisfaction, and a broader acceptance of telematics as a critical component of modern automotive design.

Beyond the technical aspects, my role has evolved to encompass strategic guidance and leadership. I’ve had the opportunity to lead teams, shape company strategies, and sometime reinvent the wheel and  influence the direction of the automotive industry. One of the greatest rewards of my career has been witnessing the growth of those I’ve mentored. I’ve made it a priority to support and empower other women in the industry, recognizing the unique challenges they face. Being a woman in automotive industry it is easy. First of all you have to overcome and leave behind the preconception. You will find in my past articles some insights and stories in which I was forced by the situation to teach lessons to some “experienced” men in the industry. No, I do not brag! I am just expose a situation. But do not ask for names!
